Hi!

This is a site I've been working on for some time.
Keep in mind that the content is only meant as a suggestion. I have no Idea what to put on this thing. Well it was only for fun anyways.

I guess if I'd ever had the time (and skill) to be a graphic designer, this is the kind of portfolio I'd want. Kinda interactive, with resources and tutorials for other artist. As well as my art, of course.

Anyways work in progress. Hope you like it! :)

EDITED:
-Sky background is gone for now, until I've made a good pattern of it.
-The green part is made darker to go easier on the eye. -Submit button text and rss sign resized.
-colors of tutorial and gallery subtexts adjusted.
-the content is redone to add more air to the design.
-friends section removed, and replaced with gallery links
-background changed to a black floral pattern
-header changed
-transparency added to black parts of the design
-websites color scheme changed

CONSIDERED ALTERS:
- Removal of suggested websites. Maybe putting a small subtle icon based one further down on the website. Adding more place for content.
- Making the frames of the featured pieces thinner.

I'M HOPING FOR FURTHER SUGGESTIONS! :)

Headers great! and I do like the portfolio styled featured menu. You got all the data packed in nicely, not too tight tho. Hate those websites where there is no room for the content to breath. Not too meny colors, whitch is nice. Tho there is something about the sky bg that doesnt fit but you said youd tile it so.. Ill wait and see.

overall a good design, I agree that the green tone is too bright, try using a gradient or so to make it more soft and easy on the eyes.

The sky background is great and so is the little logo at the top. Nicely laid out piece!
